We, for our part, are committed to the agreement it violates daily. - The occupation has been unable to achieve its objectives in the Gaza Strip, so we are not surprised that it is thinking in its barbaric way. - The issue of the bodies is complex and requires time, especially after the occupation has changed the landscape of Gaza, and we explained this to the mediators. - We are committed to the agreement, and what is happening now is an attempt to exert pressure from Israel.

Hamas: - Recognizing the State of Palestine is an important step in affirming our people's right to their land and establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. - These important recognitions must be accompanied by measures that lead to an immediate halt to the brutal war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip.
We welcome the British Government’s historic decision to formally recognise the State of Palestine. Today is not just about Palestine, but about Britain’s fulfilment of a solemn responsibility. This long-overdue recognition marks an end to Britain’s denial of the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination. Recognition is not a destination, but an opening of a new chapter to right the wrongs of the past, stop the genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, and end the unlawful occupation.

Russia has once again rained down hundreds of drones and a dozen missiles on Ukraine overnight, striking indiscriminately — including residential areas and the seat of government. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Together with Ukraine and our partners, we stand for peace. Russia, meanwhile, is locking itself ever deeper into the logic of war and terror. By Ukraine’s side, we will continue to do everything to ensure that a just and lasting peace prevails.
Stop the killing first; secure access for people and aid; then negotiate security arrangements and a political track that addresses issues of land, governance, refugees, and rights. Coercive ideas such as forced population transfers or "land grants" to other countries are illegal, impractical, and will only make matters worse. Nina Baron 🇬🇧
Abu Obeid: Let the enemy know that the Qassam Brigades are not limited to a single person or name. Rather, they are an ongoing resistance project. Their men are present on the ground, and the rifle is handed down from generation to generation. It is true that we grieve over the loss of our men, our heroes, and our people, but we are proud to have paid any price for the sake of our Jerusalem, our Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the dignity of our people. The battle is worth it, the goal is precious, and the prize is enormous.

They will remain with our fighters in the battle zones, sharing the same risks and living conditions. We will announce the name, photo, and proof of death for every captive killed by the aggression

Hamas has submitted a response to a ceasefire proposal to Qatari and Egyptian mediators, in line with the recent joint US-Qatari-Egyptian “bridge proposal” of August 16, 2025, aimed at ending the Gaza war and releasing the hostages, a process complicated by historical refusals such as the US envoy’s rejection of a similar Hamas offer in June 2025. Data from Al Jazeera and The Guardian indicate that more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed in the 22 months of conflict, highlighting the urgency of ceasefire talks, despite previous negotiations stalling over disagreements over prisoner exchanges and the terms of a permanent ceasefire.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has set a controversial new goal: the complete occupation of Gaza, starting with Gaza City. His security cabinet has approved the first stage, but opposition is rapidly growing from the international community, and appears to be coming from within the Israeli military leadership itself. There are warnings that the plan will exacerbate the already dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Is the plan militarily achievable? What political calculations are driving it? And could it push the IDF to the limit?

As Al Jazeera bids farewell to another group of its finest journalists, we hold the Israeli occupation army and its government fully responsible for targeting and assassinating our team. ⭕️ The killers of journalists deliberately targeted Al Jazeera’s press tent at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, as admitted in a statement by the Israeli army. Numerous Israeli military officials have repeatedly incited and called for the targeting of Anas Al-Sharif and his colleagues.
🟥Hamas Movement: 🟥 Repeated threats have been issued by military spokesmen for the occupation army against Palestinian journalists, including the martyrs Sharif and Qreiqea, with the aim of discouraging them from performing their professional duty of conveying the truth and images of the brutal genocide taking place in the Gaza Strip. These threats have translated into a heinous killing that confirms the fascist behavior of this terrorist entity. - The assassination of journalists and the intimidation of those who remain are paving the way for a major crime the occupation is planning to commit in Gaza City, after silencing its media voice. This is to isolate its people and carry out its massacres away from the eyes of the world. - These ongoing brutal crimes against Palestinian journalists, the latest of which was this heinous crime, require widespread engagement from journalists and media professionals around the world to expose the occupation and its crimes, amplify the voice of truth that it is attempting to suppress, and continue their humanitarian mission of conveying what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

Abu Hamza, military spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades: Since the beginning of the war of extermination against our people, the criminal Netanyahu and his extremist right-wing terrorist government have deliberately ignored the issue of their prisoners and their cause, and are working with all their might to kill them and return them to their families in coffins. Hamas: Abu al-Abed's martyrdom was not a passing event, but rather a pivotal moment that confirmed that the resistance leaders, at the heart of the battle, are offering their sons as martyrs—just as Leader Haniyeh offered a constellation of his sons and grandchildren—and concluding their lives with martyrdom on the path to Jerusalem, just as he himself concluded his life, joining the caravan of founding martyr leaders and his comrades in the Al-Aqsa flood.

Historical context reveals al-Hayya's involvement in planning the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, according to minutes of a secret meeting held that same year and reviewed by The New York Times. This bolsters his claims, but also raises questions about his credibility given Hamas's role in escalating the conflict.

Urgent | Qassam military spokesman, Abu Obeida: The complex Beit Hanoun operation is an additional blow that our fierce fighters dealt to the prestige of the weak occupation army and its most criminal units in an arena that the occupation thought was safe after it left no stone unturned in it..... Urgent | Qassam military spokesman, Abu Obeida: The steadfastness of our people and the bravery of its brave resistance fighters are exclusively what create equations and draw the features of the next stage, and the most foolish decision that Netanyahu could take would be to keep his forces inside the Gaza Strip.... Abu Obeida: The battle of attrition that our fighters are waging with the enemy from the north of the Gaza Strip to its south will inflict additional losses on it every day, and even if it miraculously succeeded recently in freeing its soldiers from hell, it may fail later, leaving additional prisoners in our hands
The Israeli military used a 220-kilogram bomb in its attack on the Al-Baqaa café on the Gaza coast. The bomb is believed to be an MK-82, a high-explosive weapon known for its wide blast radius and indiscriminate effects, causing widespread shrapnel damage. A large crater found at the site supports this conclusion, indicating the use of a large and powerful aerial bomb. Experts consulted by the Guardian confirmed that the use of such a weapon in a civilian-populated area, such as a café, could amount to a war crime, given its indiscriminate nature and the potential for civilian casualties.
A civilian was killed when the Israeli occupation forces shelled a group of residents near the British Hospital in Al-Mawasi, Khan Yunis. This area had previously been designated a "safe zone" for displaced civilians. Attacks near medical facilities, such as the British Hospital, exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in southern Gaza.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, has stated that "a number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads." He made this assertion in the wake of recent US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, suggesting that these strikes have backfired and may accelerate Iran's nuclear ambitions. Medvedev did not specify which countries he was referring to. Russia has historically supported Iran's nuclear program and has been involved in international efforts to address it. His statement represents a significant escalation in rhetoric amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East.
According to various news reports, the three nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan have allegedly been evacuated for some time. This follows reports of US airstrikes on these sites, which were confirmed by US President Donald Trump. Iranian officials have stated that the evacuation minimized the damage, and that no nuclear material was present at the time of the attacks. However, independent assessments of the damage vary.

Katz hailed the assassination as a significant achievement for Israeli intelligence and the air force, stating that "Israel's long arm will reach all its enemies." The strike reportedly killed Izadi and a teenager. Izadi was a key figure in orchestrating Hamas decisions and was involved in strategic moves against Israel. He had previously been sanctioned by Britain and the US.

We mourn its martyrs who were killed as a result of this cowardly attack, emphasizing that these strikes will not weaken the resistance fronts, but rather accelerate the demise of the fragile resistance.
🔴Urgent 🔴| Abu Obeida: 🔻 Urgent warning to whomever it may concern.. The occupation forces are besieging a place where the Zionist prisoner "Matan Zangauker" is located. He who warns is excused....

🟥Hamas: 🟥- We agreed to the release of 10 prisoners, and the disagreement may lie in the timing of the release. The movement's response considered Witkoff's proposal a valid basis for negotiations that could lead to an agreement. - We considered the possibility of including implementable clauses in the agreement, and we seek to strengthen the ceasefire agreement and initiate a new round of negotiations.

Israel says it resumed attacks in Gaza to force Hamas to release hostages.
Blood streams down his face, but he continues with the bag of flour he miraculously obtained. In Gaza, hunger is merciless, and bread is snatched from the rubble and bullets. This man, like thousands of hungry people, does not have the luxury of waiting. He is one of the survivors of the death lines. He is wounded for a morsel of food, and he is patient for life. In every wrinkle on his face is a story, and in his eyes is pain.
⭕Hamas Movement: 🔵- We consider the continued presence of the Zionist delegation sent to Doha, despite the proven lack of authority to reach an agreement, a blatant attempt by Netanyahu to mislead international public opinion and falsely pretend to participate in the negotiating process. 🔵- Netanyahu's statements regarding the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip are an attempt to throw dust in the eyes and deceive the international community. Not a single truck has entered the Strip to date, including the few trucks that arrived at the Kerem Shalom crossing and were not received by any international body.
Roi Sharon, military analyst for the Israeli Channel 10, said: - The perpetrator of the Salfit attack was highly skilled and well-versed in criminal and security investigation methods. He did not leave behind any bullet casings, as happens in other attacks in the West Bank. - Question: Did the perpetrator collect the bullets himself? Or did he have a special device on his weapon that detects the bullets during firing, thus leaving no evidence? - A full day after the attack, Israeli security forces still do not know the identity of the perpetrator. - Security forces believe he did not carry out the attack alone, and may have been transported by an assistant in a vehicle hundreds of meters away from the site. However, no one yet knows where the perpetrator went.

The United States has set conditions for normalizing relations with Syria, including the expulsion of Palestinian factions, reflecting a strategic shift to curb Iranian influence in the region in light of Syria's readmission to the Arab League by 2024. 🟥Hamas Movement: ♦️We appreciate the decision of the brothers in Ansar Allah, led by Mr. Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, to give the enemy four days before resuming naval operations aimed at imposing a blockade on the ports of the occupation if his government continues to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid and goods into the Gaza Strip. .... ..♦️This brave Yemeni decision reflects the depth of the connection of the brothers in Ansar Allah and the brotherly Yemeni people to Palestine and Jerusalem and is an extension of the blessed positions of support and assistance they have provided over 15 months of war.
The first historic meeting between Hamas and the US administration, with a focus on the implications of this diplomatic shift, including the potential recognition of Hamas as a key player in the negotiations and a move away from previous US policies under Biden that aimed to eliminate the group. It highlights the role of the prisoners’ file in breaking the taboo of direct talks, suggesting that this could advance the second phase of ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, potentially pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to engage more actively. This ties in with recent US and Israeli political developments, such as Trump’s controversial proposal to transfer Palestinians from Gaza, which has drawn international criticism, and underscores the complex geopolitical dynamics affecting the meeting.

Donald Trump says US won't give Ukraine security guarantee 'beyond very much' ahead of meeting with Keir Starmer Good morning. Keir Starmer is in Washington where later today he will have his first meeting with President Trump since the inauguration. With Trump aligning with Moscow even more explicitly than he did during his first administration, and threatening to wind down the Nato guarantees that have underpinned the security of western Europe since the second world war, the stakes could not be higher. Starmer, despite leading a party whose activists mostly loathe Trump and everything he represents, has managed to establish a warm relationship with the president and today will give some clues as to what extent he can sustain that, and protect the UK from the tariff warfare that Trump is threatening to unleash on the EU. But Starmer is one of three European leaders in Washington this week (Emmanuel Macron was there on Monday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is there tomorrow) and today’s meeting is also part of a wider story about the fracturing of the US/Europe alliance. It is definitely in trouble; what is not yet clear is whether after four years of Trump it will still be fully functional. Starmer spoke to reporters on his flight to the US yesterday. Pippa Crerar, the Guardian’s political editor, was on the plane and, as she reports, Starmer said he wants Trump to agree that, in the event of a peace settlement in Ukraine, the US will offer security guarantees that will make it durable. The PM has already said that Britain would contribute troops to a European so-called “tripwire” peace-keeping force, there to defend Ukraine and deter Russia. But European soldiers would need US air and logistical support to be effective, and Starmer is looking for assurances that Washington will provide this level of support.
