Israel confirms body Israeli prisoner Sherry Bibas

Newsn7uk 🇬🇧
The Israeli Forensic Institute confirmed onSaturday that the body that Hamas handed over to Israel on Friday night was that of Sheri Bibas, after conducting the necessary tests.
Israeli Channel 12 reported: "The Forensic Institute conducted a genetic examination of Sheri Bibas's body and found a genetic match." On Friday evening, Hamas announced that it had handed over the remains of Israeli captive Sheri Bibas, who was killed in the Gaza Strip, to the Red Cross.
The woman's remains were actually supposed to be returned to Israel, along with the remains of her two young children, on Thursday, but the coffin that Hamas handed over to the Red Cross contained the body of an unidentified woman.
Hamas later admitted that a possible mistake had occurred, and this mistake sparked anger in Israel.
In turn, the Ynet website quoted Red Cross officials on Friday evening as saying that they had received a box containing the remains of Sheri Bibas from Hamas and that they had transferred it to the Israeli authorities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said that Hamas had handed Tel Aviv the body of a woman from Gaza instead of Sheri Bibas's body, considering it a violation of the ceasefire agreement and vowing to make Hamas pay the price.
However, Hamas acknowledged on Friday that there may have been a mistake or overlap in the bodies that led to the failure to identify Sheri Bibas's body, stressing that it had no interest in not abiding by the agreement.
Hamas stressed "the need to move forward in implementing the requirements of the agreement at all levels, and it also confirmed its seriousness and full commitment to all its commitments."
Last Thursday, Hamas handed over the bodies of four Israeli prisoners. Israel confirmed the identity of the two children and the fourth hostage, Oded Lifshitz, but Israeli experts said that the fourth body was that of an unidentified woman and not Shiri, who was kidnapped with her two sons and her husband Yarden on October 7, 2023. Hamas said that mistakes can happen, especially since the Israeli bombing that killed the hostages led to the bodies of Israeli hostages being mixed with those of Palestinians, thousands of whom are still under the rubble, demanding that the Israeli authorities return the body of a woman from Gaza.

Newsn7uk 🇬🇧
Experts ruled out that Tel Aviv would affect the course of the negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners and hostages between Israel and Hamas, which is expected to begin in the coming days.
According to the Israeli police, three explosions with primitive explosive devices occurred on a number of buses in the cities of Bat Yam and Holon, near Tel Aviv, while the explosions did not result in any deaths or injuries, and no suspects were arrested.
As a result, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the army to carry out a large-scale military operation in the West Bank, and directed the police and security forces to increase preventive activities in anticipation of attacks or the implementation of bombings. Political analyst Jihad Harb said that "the negotiations for the second phase of the truce are already complicated and have many pending issues, and the Tel Aviv bombings cannot affect them in any way, especially since Hamas did not announce or support them."
Harb explained that "Israel pointed the finger at the armed groups in the West Bank, and will work to increase the pace of its military operations in the northern West Bank in response to that, without moving towards Hamas or its armed wing."

Abu Obeida said in a tweet on his official account on the “Telegram” platform that it was decided “as part of the Al-Aqsa Flood deal for prisoner exchange, to hand over the bodies of the Bibas family and the body of prisoner Oded Lifshitz tomorrow, Thursday, who were all alive before their detention places were deliberately bombed by the Zionist occupation aircraft.”

"Abu Hamza": Our treatment of the enemy's prisoners is superior to its practices against our prisoners
The spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Abu Hamza, confirmed that the release of a number of Zionist prisoners comes within the framework of the Palestinian resistance's confirmation of its good treatment of the prisoners it holds, compared to the Zionist practices against the Palestinian prisoners.
"Abu Hamza" said: The Zionist enemy "is skilled in oppressing and torturing the Palestinian prisoners, and continues to oppress them until the last moments of their release."
The spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades added: The scenes that have recently appeared, especially the way the Al-Quds Brigades dealt with the Israeli prisoner Alexander Tropanov, reflect the humane treatment that the resistance provides to the enemy's prisoners, in contrast to what he described as the continuous abuse that Palestinian prisoners are subjected to in the enemy's prisons.
Abu Hamza denounced the Zionist practices against the liberated Palestinian prisoners, pointing out that "what the enemy did today, by forcing our prisoners to wear clothes that say 'We will not forget and we will not forgive', and the scenes that appeared reflecting their difficult health conditions after their release, only carry the truth that the unjust world does not see, which is the brutality of the Zionist enemy and the ugliness of the treatment of our prisoners by its jailers."
He added: "The difference is clear and big between our treatment of the enemy's prisoners, and the enemy's treatment of the prisoners of our free people," stressing that the resistance will remain a protector of the prisoners and a defender of their rights until they achieve their full freedom.
Abu Hamza continued: “All countries of the world, especially the United States of America, which is demanding that the resistance release all the enemy’s prisoners, are required to demand the same from the enemy, and not to ignore the horrific scenes of suffering, torture, and systematic killing of our prisoners, the owners of the land, the homeland, and the sacred cause, who are exposed to all kinds of torture in the enemy’s prisons, and live inside them in mass graves.”

We condemn the retirement of the fighter Qadura Fares due to his supportive stance on the prisoners’ cause
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemns the decision of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to retire the national fighter Qadura Fares, due to his criticism of the Authority’s decision regarding the allocations of prisoners and martyrs.
The attempt to silence national voices and punish all those who stand with prisoners and martyrs and their rights reflects the approach of repression and exclusion practiced by the Authority, and is a dangerous deviation from national constants, and submission to Zionist and American dictates that target the struggle of prisoners and their just cause.
We in the Hamas Movement affirm our solidarity with our brother Qadura Fares, and with all free voices that reject the infringement of the rights of prisoners and their families.

US, Russia begin peace talks in Saudi Arabia as Ukraine remains on sidelines
The US and Russia held talks in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday that set the stage for a seismic shift in relations — and a potential turning point in the Ukraine war after three bloody years.
US negotiators emerged from the talks in Saudi Arabia responding to criticism that they have sidelined Europe and Kyiv, while promising warmer ties with Moscow. After two weeks of dramatic attacks on NATO, European democratic processes, and interventions behind Russian and right-wing issues on the continent, the US team, led by Donald Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has returned to language that resembles more traditional diplomacy. It represents a huge step away from isolating Russia to bringing Moscow out of the cold. And it will heighten concerns in Europe that Mr Trump is prioritising warm relations with Russia over the continent’s security and Ukraine’s sovereignty

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that he must abide by US President Donald Trump’s post-war plan for the Gaza Strip, which calls for the displacement of the enclave’s 2.4 million residents. “Just as I promised that after the war in Gaza there would be no Hamas or the Palestinian Authority, I must abide by US President Trump’s plan to create another Gaza,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
Omer Dostri, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said earlier on Monday that the Palestinian Authority would not rule the Gaza Strip. This came in response to a report that Hamas was ready to transfer control of the Strip to the Palestinian Authority, according to Israeli media.
An informed Egyptian source reported on Saturday that Hamas confirmed that it would not participate in running the Gaza Strip during the next phase.
Hamas had previously announced, in early December, that it had agreed to the proposal to form a community support committee to manage the Gaza Strip, which was put forward during the negotiation rounds in Cairo during the months of October and November, which was later rejected by Fatah. Then, on February 4, the Palestinian Cabinet announced that it had decided to form a working committee to manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip.
